*One thought that has sort of bothered me since last night when the temps ran up so fast is that it got there on a full oxidation . By the time I started soaking it in reduction, I believe temps were already reached, but needed the reduction. worst case scenario is that my glazes ran all over my kiln shelves. This would be a very bad thing. Shelves are not cheap. About $80/shelf(12"X24"). Takes 18-24 shelves to fill the kiln. But I made sure to apply a very generous heap of kiln wash on each one so if I do get runs in the glaze there is a good chance I can flake them off with the kiln wash.
