Yaacov I am a bit sceptical about the merger. It would be a full scale war between Compaq and Intel if Compaq and AMD are to merge. Of course, the wild card is IBM. If IBM would support Compaq then Intel would not be in a position to threaten ibm, dec and compaq/amd. But for now I am sceptical about it - it is just sounds too good to be true for amd. If true it is likely that compaq would issue shares that would be exchanged for amd shares. Shalom -Albert
