You're very ignorant. The American economy is not Enron, as much as the dopes and Dems (redundant) would like that to be the case.

AMT is rebated now. But in a dumb way. The reason why AMT should be repealed is that AMT exacts taxes from companies when they are on the skids - during recessions. THat causes unemployment as companies reduce costs where they can.

AMT makes the business cycle worse. When the economy and companies recover, then they have AMT credits to reduce their taxes. Gee, that makes sense. Hurt companies when things are bad and then goose their profits when times are good.

No reputable economist of any stripe supports AMT - just shill socialist politicians - Dems.
