A costly devisive takeover battle would not have been constructive or in the best interest of shareholders. Two of the new board members elected in June resigned because of the potential conflict indicating to me that they came on board with their self interest in mind and were not merely CB's "buddies" In their place the dissidents were able to nominate Mr Gil Raker and Mr. Charles Strang who are shareholders and quite independent. Mr. Raker is CEO of fast growing and profitable public company. Mr. Strang is the former chairman of Outboard Marine Corp., widely credited as being the father of the outboard marine industry. Both men as well as the other new directors bring a wealth of knowledge and contacts to the company. The company will truely be in control of its own destiny when the transition from Stanson is complete (very soon). New management talent from Mr. Joe Dekamma and Ms. Polly Bergen have already yielded meaningful benefits. The company will survive and succeed if shareholders unite and move forward. Don't let emotions get in the way of rational judgement. There are no white knights comming in to rescue the company. The new board and management is the best course of action for shareholders.

So that there is no confusion as to my identity and motivation let me state for the record that I am Peter Ting. I own 225,000 shares of Chtl at an average of $4.70/share. I have been in contact with management and I can say that I am convinced that the new widely expanded board and management is our best shot at turning the company around. I probably know more about the company than most investors and for the first time in the past 16 months I feel that I have a good chance at recovering my investment and actually making a profit. There is a lot of hard work ahead but the company will make it with the help of everyone.
