Hi BD,

Thanks for the response, but still have a problem. If you recall, this was the message I received:
____________________________________________________________
SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\VirtualDeviceDrivers. VDD. Virtual Device Driver format in the registry is invalid. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application.
____________________________________________________________

Although I don't like messing with the Registry (I'm chicken!!), I ran Regedt32.exe as in your post siliconinvestor.com and followed down the tree as per the instructions. When I got to "\VirtualDeviceDrivers\" there was no + sign on the folder and the right pane showed it was empty... no "\VDD" at all.

Any ideas as to what to do now?

Many thanks in advance to you and anyone else with any ideas.

Best always,

Marty
