Thanks--that's exactly what I was wondering. Odd that the OTC is more conservatively valued than the bigger stocks.

I actually sold my JEQ today when I saw I could get pretty much net asset value for it. Had a similar offer in for my JOF but it did not get off. Which is probably OK--I think I will keep it a while longer.

I guess I figure that when armageddon finally lumbers into the US markets, Japan will initially tank in sympathy. But my feeling about the Japanese market is similar to the way I felt in the last few months of the 73-74 decline: ride the roller coaster on down if necessary and climb the other side. The trouble is, that Japan takes such a millennial pace to move.

If they would just write off all that malinvestment, devalue the yen, and start exporting super-economy cars to China, Russia, etc, they would be out of the woods and rich as hell again in another ten years.
