What happens is that people form relationships and only then come to embrace a religion. It doesn't happen the other
way around...You can never find that sort of thing out after the fact—because after the fact people do think it's about faith. And they're not lying, by the way. They're just projecting backwards.


I found this piece particularly interesting. It never occurred to me that people might come to believe what they believe because their buddies in the club believe it. That makes sense, when you think of it. People don't believe one thing and then suddenly start to believe something else.
