My Dear Rich...Am I more well off then I was 15 years ago? Yes, I have two sons that survived Desert Storm and came home...they became fathers and soon after... bronze star recipients. Your question about babies is a complex one. My babies, now in their early thirties, want babies desperately. Two of the four are going through invitro at this point. They are trying desperately to have children. They are wonderful men/women who have tried to do everything right in their lives. But nature has not given them the opportunity to parent. I teach in a university and have the chance to talk to many 20/30/40 year olds. The change is dramatic from one decade to the next...neither is easier...just so different. Yes, Rich, I am finished having children! But I am not finished passing the torch to those who will live longer than I. I hope that you are one of those lucky individuals. Marie
