I don't know AT&T's strategy on acquisitions and if you do please let me know. But how it would affect GST is somewhat simple, but speculative. All I did was put together the fact that AT&T is rumored to acquire TCGI (a major player in the CLEC group), the GST run up was around the same time AT&T/SBC merger talks broke down, and speculation on this thread of a possible takeover of GST, and concluded that we might see some action in GST in the coming weeks. I admit that I have not done my due diligence on GST and the CLEC group, but it appears the lastest events that I stated above is more than just coincidence. You did say that there was more to GST price action than the news that is out there. This is my guess. I might very well be wrong, but it seems possible to me. So what is your opinion to this unusual move in GST's stock since my suggestion seems so unlikely?
