Well there is a certain logic to the "tech" is dead crowd. Personally I don't think it is dead, but nor do I think we'll see a return to the internut days. The salvation of the tech will come when either 3G or Broadband (preferably both at the same time) take off. But that does not seem likely to be soon. When the recovery begins, I suspect the chip makers will be bigger winners (at least initially) than the equipment makers. But before that happens, the economy will have to turn around, and that means companies like TYC, GE, or even PHG and STM will recover before the rest.
