Noel, thank you for the information.
I am pleased that DLJ, long a supporter of the stock (but one who has on several occasions recommended PLAT prematurely, I'm sure much to their chagrin), has come out with a solid Q2 prediction. I especially like the "any degree of profitability will help the stock move up into the mid-teens" part! Agree with Richard, though, that it looks like the restructuring charges are higher than previously thought at the time of the original announcement. As long as these involve a lot of non-cash, "scrub the balance sheet until its squeaky clean" maneuvers, I think we will be okay.
So the stage has been set, and all PLAT has to do is SHOW US THE MONEY!!! Also, the glowing mention of BMC Software in Barrons this weekend, where the T.Rowe Price New Horizons fund manager waxed poetic about them being a strong player in a very rapidly growing marketplace, may have a pleasant spillover effect on PLAT. Let's keep the fingers crossed.
Regards, Dave |
