This year's Grammy Presentation was perhaps the least entertaining one for me in years.

I think the most rebellious thing I saw out those rock stars was when a few of them continued to thanks their associates while the orchestra began playing louder and louder to signal that their time was up.

The performances were O.K.
Nothing to get excited about.
I dug the blue grass medley from Oh Brother Where For Art Thou.
Otherwise I was a bit disappointed.

Dylan made me feel uncomfortable when I was watching.
Especially after exclaiming to my wife the non-Dylan fan, "Yeah! Bob Dylan is going to play! That's excellent!"
It sounded like they were playing two songs at once with different tempos and I could barely make a word out.
It made me feel itchy.
If that was the artist's intent then it was amazing how he was able to compose something that could make me itch.
But then again it could have been the sound that was pumping out of my speakers was set too low.
I was afraid to turn it up because it could scare the kids. <just kiddin of course...>
Somewhere trapped inside that song, I'm sure were some well written lyrics. I'll have to look 'em up.
I taped the event on my computer.
I'll give it a few more listens to see if it becomes less coarse and eventually stops me from itching.

Something about Bob's thin mustache makes me itch too.
With the make-up he almost appears to be some sort of silent film scarey villian, walking dead, possessed devil dude that could reach into your soul and pull it out and walk away laughing as you gasp with fear, feeling his cold hand enter your chest cavity in search of it.

But then again it might have been because I had a very tough day at work and felt physically and mentally exhausted...

someone said the dixie chicks looked good.
i didn't think so.

<In best Mr. Maxwell fashion critique voice...>
I didn't like the southwestern throw rug that the lead singer wore as a dress. Or perhaps it was a blanket...
...and the stripes should have gone in a different direction than horizontal...

i still don't know what the point of pamela
anderson was.

It was so husbands across America would not change the channel while Jaime Fox and the other dude tried to make bad jokes...

I still don't get the whole In Sync deal...
I must be getting old.
I feel out of touch.
Can't get into their music...

I remember when I could pick out every single artist even if I didn't like their music.

Alesha Keys really ran away with the awards.
I'll have to pay more attention to her even though I didn't think her songs were all that amazing.

I definitely dug Mary J Blige <sp?>.
Man! She sings with passion and raw emotion!
She rocked my world!
I actually inclined from my horizontal position on my couch and sat up to watch her.
I almost stood up!
No joking, I really thought she was great. I'd dig seeing a concert of hers on TV.

Janet Jackson must do sit-ups all day long.
She's got a washboard or sixpack as I prefer to call them.
(Makes me feel like beer helps tone the belly...)
She's certainly changed over the years.
She's begun her Slut routine in attempt to really cash in now.

I thought Natalie Cole looked great.
She's lost some weight.

Stevie Wonder gained it.
He really cracked me up when he read the winner from the envelope. That was funny.

Bonnie Raitt hasn't changed much.
Still looks the same.

I thought Train's Drops of Jupiter sounded good.

The artist Pink seemed a bit strange. Sorta way out there.
Appeared to be the only other person as high as Bob...
<Just funnin'. Sorta...>

P.S. I hope Polvie doesn't take my Bob comments as an insult. I'm sorry. It gave me flashbacks to the only concert I saw of him. He wasn't at his best that night either.
The last time he preformed on one of these awards shows, I though he was phenominal. I should have written about it...
Sorry dude. I apologize.
