I used to think that, but then I learnt it properly and see its value. You only have to look at my prediction to the day that gold was heading down and it did.... that is TA working.... KKD has headed down from the day I gave my prediction on an e-wave basis. At other times things aren't so clear cut. I think gold will go lower than 285.

Despite what many think there is some scientific basis for something like Elliott Wave and certainly for other forms of tradtional technical analysis. We recently had a discussion about this on the Big Kahuna thread.

Of course most other economists and econometricians disagree with me... but they obviously haven't actually looked at the data or the relevant findings properly.

Originally I thought that all TA was baloney, because as a good economist that's what I'd been taught to believe.
