We haven't reached the bottom of recession...GDP revised to 1.4%; claims 378K - both numbers better than expected
Q4 GDP was revised up to 1.4% from 0.2%, this was an even larger revision than the 0.9% expected by the market. Jobless claims rose 17K, but actually ended up at a lower than expected level of 378K (consensus 385K), as the prior week's number saw an unusually large downward revision to 361K from 383K. Neither number is of great importance, but they were both better than expected.
