When you combine that with the Hitachi HIT disappointment last night and what I am hearing about IBM IBM , you have a sense that this once-hot area has completely fizzled. What's the matter with storage according to EMC? How about everything: pricing is bad, demand is bad, the products don't seem to excite. This is quite a change from a year ago when storage was red-hot. In fact, it is even a change from October-December, when storage had picked up. To me it means that EMC is headed into the single digits. Plan accordingly.
