How I wish I could be taking that trip!

You're welcome to come if you can make last minute arrangements and get to Kathmandu by March 20th. I was unable to get a trekking partner for this trip, but one is never alone on the trail. In fact the opposite is usually true with too many trekkers, although somehow I do not believe that will be the case this year. This is the first trip I am taking anywhere during a State of Emergency.

The trek itself costs only around $850; this includes 3 weeks hotel(or tea house on the trail) and all meals, and airport pickup and tranfers to the dropoff for the trek. Believe it or not, this is very expensive by Nepal standards. I leave March 18th and return April 22nd and will be really out of touch(email) for about 3 weeks. The internet bars in Kathmandu and Pokhara(which are very plentiful) charge about a penny a minute for internet access time; and this was in 2000, so the costs may have dropped since then.

Looking forward to it very much is an understatement:-)
