wat i do for a large swing trade...btw in still long from 962....is to look for the following...
remember just before a blast off of major proportions there are some main objectives to look for,,,the hunt for these objectives may require plenty of buy n stops and wat not....simply because the crystal ball tells ya wat to look for and of course waitn for it by the impatient can be frustranting...never the less....all major blast offs are preceded by major selloffs.....they dont hafta be huge but they havta produce the kind of sentiment that we saw in sept....and the wave structure hasta fit the characteristics of the end of a corrective wave...in that regard all that came together in sept....remember sept was indeed the successful retest of the 98 low....thus the odds had increased that the sept low was of major proportions...blood in the streets and all that other stuf...getting long and staying long from that spot was helped by the clx analysis....and of course holding on to the trade for wat eventually wud be called a great position trade is the next trick...so we ignore the hiccups along the way as they are designed to keep wat bulls there are off the train and consentrate and visualize wat the wave structure is overall is promising....this requires experience garnered from the past failures.....and of course tracking the dow tick by tick for over 20 years gives you that kind of experience...initialy i fell into all the traps...but you either learn the tricks fast or die....this is a game that involves the boyz against the public...the public has been trained like pavlovs dogs to accept watever the boyz want them to accept...and to this end the boyz reap the benefits,.to accomodate the life styles to which they had become accustomed.....nowhere was this more dramaticly revealed when after the crash of 87 it was reported that the NYSE members had their biggest profitable year in history...fwiw...
