Then you'd be surprised to think that most all of these conservatives around here actually care about the common working man, if not all of them(for practical stereotyping purposes). I know how I became economically conservative, and it happened precisely because I insisted upon worrying about the common man, and finally understood that the common working man, the relatively poor, and indeed the masses, would be better off in a "conservative" world. Only then did I shift away from being the young liberal I once was.
The "overabundance" of right-wing rage you speak of is typically based in being falsely accused by the likes of you. That rage is righteous, because the common man WOULD be better off if freedom reigned, IMHO.
Once you realize the truth here, i.e., that you are in fact dealing with conservatives who in fact DO believe what they believe, because they are SURE it is best for ALL of us(not jsut some special interest), then you may begin to finally refrain from doubting the intentions of conservatives. You may call us misguided...it is your right...but whether you understand how we come to believe this way or not, we shall not go away since we represent one sizable faction(parity with the left?) within common public opinion, by any name.
Freedom works,
