GP, agree with your analysis. In a trending market the 'extreme' Rydex asset values are a moving target. We are obviously breaking new ground in what is considered extreme numbers as we work our way towards a bear market bottom.

I like to make the analogy to the P/C ratio, look at the moving averages on this chart for instance:

The MA's continue to march upwards but does that mean things are too bearish to drop further? Hardly as we have seen. All sentiment indicators need to be adjusted as we move deeper into a bear/bull. Ironically, the very fact these numbers are no longer working as indicators of turning points should be clue to some folks that something stinky is still afoot.

And yes I am short.
