I read something interesting last week. The local Lutheran school is accepting non Lutheran students in their K-8 program. $2,400 for the first child and $2,000 for each child after the first. They spend $3,600 per year per student and turn out kids who are the tops in the 3Rs plus being computer literate. Public education spends $7,600 per student and graduates kids who can't match the 6th grade Lutheran kids in the 3Rs or computers.
