Yes, I remember how the last telco hysteria played out. Months of constant "experts" explaining why so many companies going out of business...the reverse of the 2000 bubble. Worst thing that has happened to all of us...CNBC...and the internet. Now hysteria can feed upon itself faster and deeper. Riverstone has a good customer base and adequate cash etc. For a deep value guy like me, I am really starting to like this market. Buying solid established companies at Venture Capital (vulture) prices. Also, its times like this you never hear the funds say they are buying...they are quiet about it. Its months later, when the stock is up 50%, that they say they bought back so and so...you never never hear anything about the buyers when skimming along the bottom. That happens always...thats one thing that doesnt change. Just think about Riverstone...sure the stock was down a lot, but if there were just sellers and no buyers...the stock would hit 1 cent or so in short order....so there were big buyers in the stock today and I bet they wernt all dumb.
