<<There was a study done that showed that a company is more likely to falter and fall flat on it's face if the CEO is replaced during a recession. The study concluded that most times, it's best to keep the current CEO through the downturn. >>

mm, do you have any clue of the damage that companies do to themselves through general layoffs? Study after study shows how much damage. The wrong people always get axed, and the lazy veteran fatheads who have political connections always get spared. And the remaining workers don't work- they gossip and worry all day over who's next.

Layoffs don't work. Do you really think it's better to lay off thousands of worker bee people than to clean house of a several dozen at the top who casued the problems?

jeeez, don't fear change, embrace it!! (Isn't that the core mantra of these internet building co's like CSCO? At least that's what they've been mouthing for the last 4 years!! )

<<Not to mention the fact that Chambers is one of the best.>>

he was one of the best. Not anymore. That was then, this is now, baby!
