Well 500 Megagrams, or 500 tons per litre would not be the required dosage, no matter how constipated you were. So yes, that would be milligrams or thousandths of a gram. Make sure you differentiate, all those who would want to, between mils milligrams) and cubic centimetres or mils. A mil of water weighs 1 gram or one thousand milligrams. you could also get that confused in Britain with other sorts or mils used by machinist which indicated thousandths of an inch.

You know, from my chemistry, as ancient and undeveloped as it is, I always thought that in freezing, water froze as a pure product, and for two things, it killed bacteria, and dropped its salts.
Ice at 32 degrees F does not kill all bacteria, but it should have precious little sulphate in it. If the ice were held at 40 below for a while, it would have damn little bacteria in it.
