Well, if third terms were still permitted, old Bill would be yawning upon waking at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue still. The irony to me is I know hundreds of folks like me who were always lukewarm about Clinton, who got terribly annoyed at the time, effort and cost of the circus grandstanding of the impeachment zealots.

Diehards just have never understood that the whole thing forced everyone off the fence and most sided with Clinton so definitively that Congress slid leftward as a direct political result.

Several years later, we're thinking "Bill who"?" while the diehards keep kicking the horsie's corpse.
