09:53 ET Yahoo! upped at SoundView-- pre-open (YHOO) 15.31 +0.85: -- Update -- SoundView upgrades to STRONG BUY from Buy in a pre-open note, saying advertising has begun a broad, secular recovery, although the recovery in online advertising has lagged by a few qtrs because of the lingering effects of the dot-com meltdown. Attrition and consolidation of competitors will drive increased mkt share for the co, and while the stock is expensive a slight shift in mkt share for YHOO in online advertising could drive dramatic upside to existing ests.
