InfoSpace Clarification on 10-Q Amendment Filed Feb. 27, 2002 With the Securities and Exchange Commission

BELLEVUE, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 1, 2002--InfoSpace, Inc. (Nasdaq:INSP - news), a provider of wireless and Internet software and application services, today clarified the reason for amending the Quarterly Report on Form 10-Q for the third quarter of 2001.

The only purpose of the amendment was to correct a printing error relating to two barter revenue numbers that are provided as supplementary information. The barter revenues for the three month period ended Sept. 30, 2000 were incorrectly printed in the document as $12.2 million and were corrected to $3.4 million. The barter revenues for the nine month period ended Sept. 30, 2000 were incorrectly printed in the document as $25.4 million and were corrected to $5.7 million.

The amendment did not change the numbers reported in the financial statements, reported revenue numbers, or in any of InfoSpace's other reported results or projections. InfoSpace reaffirms $33.051 million in revenues for the three months ended Sept. 30, 2001 and $130.558 million for the nine months ended Sept. 30, 2001 as they were previously reported in the Form 10-Q filed on Nov. 9, 2001.
