In my experience a TICK reading of + 1200 like we've seen today, is both fairly rare and is Bullish for the rest of the day and often means an overall upward bias over the following few days.

A + 1200 TICK reading statistically ends as a strong day over 85% of the time.

But what it means after today, is a lower probability situation. The first trading day of the month has statistically been the most bullish day of the Month for several years Now. We were talking about this yesterday on the Paint the Table thread.

We've mentioned the first trading day of the month being strong at the end of each month, for the past several months over there. (Feb did not pan out, but the market rallied strongly in the days leading up to the first trading day of Feb.)
