I don't think it is child-like. I think it is simply descriptive. And I am so glad to see CH agreeing that we live in a relative world. Because all evidence points to the fact that we do. The rules for us, are whatever we think the rules are. And it is quite clear we are not all on the same page, nor have humans ever all been on the same page, nor are they likely to ever all be on the same page.

Taliban-like mentality will always be with us, I suspect, in every country on Earth, and in every time- only the extent and control of the Taliban-like element will vary. And I have no idea how to control the variance of this mentality of absolutism. I don't think anyone knows why it pops up at certain times and not others.

I understand your anguish about acts of incomprehensible inhumanity, which are committed by all peoples. Many people feel that anguish. It is the solution to it that remains so mystifying.
