You are quite correct.

I fully expect Intel to offer a Pentium MMX chip with expanded on board L1 cache fabricated on a 0.25 micron early next year.

A similarly enhanced Pentium Pro MMX should also be introduced. The smaller die size of this will fast forward the Pentium Pro pricing strategy, positioning Intel to start the ramp up of Pentium Pros for the desktop.

Time will tell.
