WavePhore Division In $2M Pact With Thomson Corp. Unit

SALT LAKE CITY (Dow Jones)--WavePhore Inc.'s (WAVO) WavePhore Networks
division received a renewed and expanded data broadcasting services and equipment contract with Thomson Financial Services Inc.

In a press release Monday, WavePhore said it expects the contract to generate revenues of more than $2 million.

WavePhore said it will continue to provide real-time communications services for Thomson Financial's First Call, an electronic financial research distributor, and Munifacts municipal bond information to end user sites in North America.

WavePhore Inc., with 1996 revenues of about $19 million, provides high-speed data delivery for real-time news services.

Thomson Financial Services, a unit of Thomson Corp., provides financial information, research, analysis and software products.
