ORCL weakness not really much of a surprise. They have not begun to find their footing yet, so the penny down will not knock over anyone, IMHO. Far more interested right now in basic industry outlook. If more cars and refrigirators and desks and carpet get sold, then those companies can upgrade their oracle software. The old (two years old) theory that companies still had to invest in software upgrades or get left in the dust is toast. Now, software upgrades are postponed until business justifies the outlay.

Friday announcement is interesting....course, it seemed the STREET already had it pegged, so get it out.
