Does 'old-fashioned' TA still work? on feb 25 i posted that the naz was near a 62% retracement, had just formed a bullish morningstar candlestick pattern, was bouncing of the lower bollinger band and was exhibiting a positive stocastics diversion. of course, the market then corrected for three days convincing me that nothing i had ever learned could be counted on any more (grin). but then today pops up and i am thinking, sheesh, is this market tough to figure or am i just cognitively challenged? maybe all those bullish signals of three days ago were saying something useful after all. i have no axe to grind here--i would just like to hear what others think about the usefulness of the TA signs, particularly in the above combination as mentioned. thanks to all willing to share an opinion.
