NEW YORK, July 7 (Reuter) - Lehman Brothers said it raised
its rating on Office Depot Inc to buy from neutral with a
12-to-16-month price target of $23.
-- said in a note believes Office Depot is wrongly
perceived as the "step-child in a failed merger."
-- said, "We believe Office Depot will benefit most from a
more rational pricing environment in the coming year."
-- last week Office Depot and Staples Inc (NASDAQ:SPLS)
terminated their proposed merger after a federal judge allowed
regulators to block the deal.
-- the stock was up 2/16 to 16-11/16.
