The KDS PC Controlled CD Organizer is a unique storage and retrieval solution for disc media. It takes storage far beyond the passive rack systems and other commonly used disc storage methods. Connected to a PC via USB, the 75-tray tower uses software and your PC's CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive to read and store disc contents automatically - eliminating manual entry! The software allows you to view stored disc titles on one screen. It also lets you view and search for disc contents ( disc title, filenames and directory names).
To retrieve a disc, simply double click on a title from a list shown on your screen and a motorized tray pops out with the disc. If you do not remember the title, you can search for a disc by specifying a keyword, filename and other attributes. The CD Organizer also keeps tracks of discs that have been checked out, even reminding you when they are due back.
Each CD Organizer tower holds up to 75 discs. USB connectivity allows up to 127 towers to be connected to a single PC. Over 9,500 discs can be stored and searched through a single database.
