I never realised that was what he was impeached for... True, he was impeached for perjury. But what he did, if done by any lower level federal employee, would get them canned. The company I work for has a specific prohibition against anything remotely resembling that sort of relationship between a subordinate and a supervisor. That's lawsuit city.

There's a specific problem for most Presidents, too, at least these days. In the TV and sound-bite age especially, photogenic looks, charisma, charm, the ability to appeal, ambition, drive... all the characteristics that would be common in successful womanisers, and likely to go along with a high sex drive... Of course, every now and then you'll get a reaction back from that extreme. After the meat serving comes the vegetable <gg> And Clinton's predecessor and successor managed, I'm sure by exercise of inhuman moral strength, to avoid taking advantage of the full range of "perks" that are possible with that position. |
