Kurtz has gotten the idea that sending people to other sites is a good thing, something old media types haven't gotten through their heads yet. Drudge pioneered this approach, btw.

You don't see any bias in Kurtz' article? To say that Kate O'Beirne can't utter a sentence without putting forth her agenda but Margaret Carlson doesn't is just blindness on his part. But its a minor matter. Kurtz and people like him are less biased toward liberals than they are in favor of the Edward R. Murrow tradition/myth. (Who started his career by doing a puppet show for kids, btw) The same thing happens in the book by Downie and Kaiser. They spend WAY too much time lamenting the demise of network news. Where have these guys been?

I wouldn't fret too much over losing Ted Koppel. One of the cable news channels is sure to snap him up.
