I read "The Closing of the American Mind" on the eighties already. But this is not to say this is confined though.

I am starting to think that to be a great economy you need a lot of people with limited brain capacity. Then you put in charge 0.01% of brightest people who really can command the country and the you have somehting like the US. The rest?
They just need to know enough to be a porter at a hotel and a cashier at the bank. Only Third World countries thing you need an army of PhD to economically develop. just look how they are to know the result of the course of action.
