My priorities in life:

1)Quality of education: More likely to get improvement from Republican Party since the
Democrats are bought & paid for by Teachers Unions, whose weak leadership has frustrated
all attempts to improve a broken system.....even though the public school system received
far more per student than other countries. Where is that money going??

2)Law & Order: absolutely necessary for everyone's quality of life and in particular, children's safety.
Democrats tend to feel sorry for the perpetrators of crime, rather than realizing the innocent
victim of a crime deserves justice & retribution.

3)Strong military: Democrats foolishly dismanted much of our military during the Clinton Adm.
explaining that the greatest threat(USSR) was gone. Didn't take long to see just how wise that
policy was in retrospect. Democrats also pushed for gays in the military which makes as much
sense as allowing the fox in the hen house.

4)Democrats cozyiness with the entertainment industry--Hollywood in particular. The garbage
that community sells as entertainment to this country has caused our culture to become crude,
shallow & greedy.

What I like about the democrats:
-- their criticisms of our medical system(no one should die because doctors want larger houses)
-- the fact they realize females must be treated equally and not as 2nd class citizens under the thumb of government.

What I dislike about the Republican party:

-- the fact that there are so many right wing wacko groups
but the Democrats have their fair share as well.....so it's almost a draw.

--being included under the same umbrella as the home-grown ayotollahs & their followers:
Falwell & Robertson.(Jesse Jackson is almost as bad in his own way on the democrat side)

--the short-sightedness from the business community in particular when it comes to the
environment. It will matter little what the bottomline of a company is when every tree has been eliminated
& air quality has become so poor we can't breath outdoors without a face mask.....OR when the
hole in the ozone is so large from emissions that we most people die young from skin cancer.

In general, it seems to me our culture fairs better RIGHT NOW when conservatives are in power & citizens
keep a close eye on government. Now, assuming the Republicans do well in the upcoming elections
we will probably need to switch our vote to the democrats eventually when the far right achieves
enough power with the party to push its radical agenda.

We really need a third party......since today's political parties have become so corrupt due to
campaign financing. Once in office an elected officials only concern is getting re-elected.
We definitely need term limits & campaign finance reform.

Otherwise, I'm perfectly content with everything:)
