Elmer, Yes, sadly here in Canada we do not have true discount brokerages since the US people will not execute foreign trades for Canadians and the local guys charge 3-4 times as much as the US discounters. the full service brokerages have conspired with regulators. However I have found a way to register with an IRS number as a foreigner and I will try that as soon as I get the number and see if that number will permit me to get onto e-trade US. Bill
