My put position on KMP is very small in relation to my total assets. It is less than one percent of one of my portfolios, the trading or cash portfolio. Of course, if you look at another way, what I have put into it would pay for me and my wife to eat out once week for most of the rest of the year at the place that has wine 50% off on Wednesdays.

In somewhat the same spirit I BOUGHT Enron when it dropped to about 28 cents a share. To my lasting regret I allowed myself to be stampeded out of that position by persons frightened on my behalf so that all I did was to make an instant 40% or so instead of doubling my money a day later.

So I just think I will see what happens with my little bet.

Once in a while I do something for fun--like shorting maybe 20 shares of Qualcomm when it was about 90 or so. Covered when I had a couple hundred dollars profit beyond my commissions.

I do have big bucks on NEM LEAP calls and DJX LEAP puts.
