Any dual boot experts here?

I can no longer boot into XP Pro from the D drive. Previously I had W98 on C and XP Pro on D with a working dual boot setup. Without giving enough thought to the process, I formatted C and then installed XP Home on C. I wanted to wade into Home slowly. I still have 30 days before XP Pro evaluation copy expires.

When I boot, I get a first choice of XP Home and a second choice of "Microsoft Windows", not "XP Professional" like before. The Microsoft Windows choice just boots into Dos. So I installed boot magic from powerquest. The program doesn't find an operating system on D. When I add it manually, choosing that operating system boots nothing.

The D: drive is intact and I made no changes to it. The XP pro operating system has to be there.

What have I done? :-{
