Very good post Ann.

5) Democrats want citizens to be dependant on Govt. Republicans want citizens to take personal responsibility. I believe that the Republicans offer the opportunity for self reliance which is good for our society. Democrats relish power too much to allow self reliance/self esteem.

It will matter little what the bottomline of a company is when every tree has been eliminated
& air quality has become so poor we can't breath outdoors without a face mask.....OR when the
hole in the ozone is so large from emissions that we most people die young from skin cancer.

I haven't seen any evidence of this so far, and it is what makes the liberal argument so silly. Mankind will never allow this to happen. When it comes to our environment, 99% of us demand prudence, conservation, and a clean environment through clean practices, it is in our best interest. The leftists argument that the Republicans aren't concerned with these issues is pure hogwash.

What you may perceive to be the difference is in degree of fanaticism. Ironically, liberals don't give the little guy any more power over environmental decisions than any other political party.
