re: hiring professional PR agencies

During the 1982 invasion of Lebanon, there was furious debate in Israel about the hasbara, or the propaganda effort to prevent Israel's image from being tarnished. One person wrote:

"If the Gentiles don't wholeheartedly support the Israeli government actions and policies, then something must have gone wrong with hasbara. Hasbara is at fault. Therefore, the hasbara must be changed, just as one changes the sparkplug in a car. It reminds me of the cheated husband who catches his wife making love to his friend on the couch in his house - and decides to burn the couch."
