Oh, I'm sorry, I've clearly offended you. Jcky, if you've been reading this thread, you can see I'm a fool-around. I didn't mean it rudely or hostilely, I meant it to make a point and thought it was funny. (I still do, oh no!)
Please accept my apology. What i said with a vulgar fillip is that there are many things for which there is no evidence, and usually, in life, the assertion of something fantastical for which there is no evidence is simply laughed at.
In the case of deities, it's my opinion, for which there is evidence in support(!), that many people find rewards in belief, and rewards can tend to lessen the standard requirement for evidence to support the fantastical assertion. No one, is the point I was making, has any vested interest in there being a nation in your colon (I can't help it, I just laughed again, I'm bad) so an assertion that there is, would not be considered "supported" by the statement "there is no evidence that there isn't." |
