Mark, Looks like Amati is in need for cash and is putting the shares
to Soros at 15% discount off market price. Soros can quickly turn
around and sell his shares to the market for a profit.

I'm still trying to figuer out what the following means:

PROPOSED MAXIMUM PROPOSED MAXIMUM
TITLE OF EACH CLASS OF AMOUNT TO OFFERING PRICE AGGREGATE OFFERING AMOUNT OF
SECURITIES TO BE REGISTERED BE REGISTERED(1) PER SHARE(3) PRICE REGISTRATION FEE
Common Stock, $.20 par value................ 534,759(2) $10.69 $5,716,574 $1,787

Too many people in the thread is too much into wishful speculation
and try to ignore the real message that comes out the company.
Alcatel and Aware have lined up many credible customers. They have
indicated they will not pay royaltiy to Amati because latter's
patents are too much of a stretch. Amati is left with very little,
AFAIK. Copper smoking?
