When @home was my ISP, I had good connections to all web sites.

After @home closed down, I have some connection problems with the new ISP. I can go to some web sites, SI, WSJ, Bloomberg, MSN, NYTimes, amazon, but failed to make connections to cbs.marketwatch, usatoday, my.yahoo, quicken, llbean, etc. Error message: The page cannot be displayed, cannot find server or DNS error.

I have Win98, Internet Explorer 6.0.2600.0000IS (provided by the new ISP), Cipher strength 128 bits, checked SSL 2.0, SSL 3.0, TLS 1.0. I also removed all cookies.

I pinged several sites with 32 bytes of data. The pings were successful at some sites and failed at some sites. When the ping failed , Packets: Sent=4, Received=0, Lost=4 (100%loss).

I called the new ISP tech support. They didn't have the solutions. One support guy said my computer was bad.

Anyone had similar connection problems?
