Tom's high yield bonds.

I am glad you asked this, because you are making me look up stuff and find out things that I don't understand but should understand. It turns out that the high yield corporate bonds are in two in-house funds. One is called the Salomon Brothers High Yield Bond Fund Class A and the other is called the Smith Barney High Income Fund. I don't have the detail on what corporate bonds are in these funds--they are black boxes to me. I have located two public mutual funds with ticker symbols SAHYX and SHICX. I don't know if these are the same funds. I hope not, because they have ratings by Morningstar of two stars and one star respectively.

I will call my SSB financial consultant and ask him to explain, and get back to you on this.

Thanks,
Tom
