Oral arguments will likely take place in the court's term that begins in October, with a decision expected in early 2003.

This case could leave the entire wireless industry in limbo until '03. The carriers might get their cash back, but if there is still a potential $15 Billion obligation, it completely freezes all M&A activity.

Anyone know the terms of the reauction? Are Verizon and the other carriers obligated to wait as long as the case lasts?
