That is possible - although I think VIA or SIS may have a mobile version of their AthyWiper chip sets announced - don't know if anybody is using them.

The reality is that Intel has gained the high ground, as you noted, where MAD and the MADroids thought they would benefit - especially since the DDR memory runs at lower voltage - hence lower power - than the plane ol' SDRAM chips !

Intel's execution continues to be excellent.
