Ralph, I am like you with country music. In general, I don't like it, but some songs catch me every once in a while. I pretty much like Hoyt Axton and Billy Joe Shaver and Kinky Friedman all the time. Alabama sometimes. K.D. Laing in good, though I don't know that I consider her country for sure. Lyle Lovett makes me grin sometimes. And sometimes he makes me think "that was weird." But any guy who can look like that and get Julia Roberts to marry him, even for a little while, has to have something going for him. <g>
